The Everesting Cycling Fest takes place on Fifty Road Hill in Stoney Creek, Hamilton, along the Niagara Escarpment. View the Fifty Road climb on Strava to learn more about the route and elevation profile.
Fifty Road will be closed to through traffic during the event. Event access is from the top of the hill via Ridge Road. Use McNeilly Road or Woolverton Road (NOT Fifty Road) to get there.
Please follow all event signage and directions from volunteers when approaching the event.

There is no parking on Fifty Road. General event parking is available on 11th Road, across from Fifty Road.
Solo Everest Riders will receive separate parking instructions by email.
Rider Information

You don't have to ride a full Everest! Whether you're tackling one climb or all 92, every rider is part of the challenge. Choose a goal that works for you, ride at your own pace, and take breaks when you need them.
Each rider is responsible for tracking their own laps and elevation.

All riders must check-in at the New Hope registration tent to:
Complete the event waiver
Receive your number plate & swag bag
Listen to a safety briefing
Team riders: Arrive between 7:00–8:15 AM.
Solo riders: Road closure begins at 4:00 AM and solo riders may start once the road is closed.An official rider welcome and orientation will take place at 8:30 AM.
Advance waiver and swag pickup is available Thursday, October 1 from 1:00–9:00 PM at New Hope Community Bikes.

A rider rest area and support tent will be available at the top throughout the event. Here you can leave a bag with extra clothing, nutrition, water and other items you may need throughout the day.
Provided support will include:
Some food and snacks
Hydration
Music
Bike mechanics
First aid
Volunteer support
Fellow riders and community members cheering you on
Light refreshments will be provided throughout the day, but riders should still plan to bring their own nutrition and hydration for the challenge.
Please do not leave valuables unattended.

Fifty Road is a soft road closure, so vehicles may still be on the course. Stay alert, ride for the conditions, and be courteous to other road users.
Stay right of the yellow line, call your passes, and shoulder-check before turning around. This is not a race.
Your must have a number plate on your bike while on course.
First aid is available at the top and bottom of the hill. Bike mechanics will be stationed at the top, with bottom-of-hill assistance available at 905-923-5963.

Here are some of the things you'll need to have a great ride:
Well-tuned bike
Helmet (mandatory)
Water bottles
Snacks and nutrition
Chair
Layers for changing weather
Lights (especially for early or late riding)
Phone charger or power bank (especially for solo Everest riders)
Cash or card

Track your own laps and elevation throughout the day. Once you reach your goal, check in with staff at the registration table to record your total.
